May be a dumb question, but my 2004. 5 2005 doesn't have the fold flat storage trays underneath the rear seat. I was thinking of adding them but didn't know if that option was available with the rear bench seat. Pictures I have seen of the trays seem to all be on split rear seats, not on bench seats. Haven't checked to see if that's something that I can purchase as a kit from Mopar/ Dodge, but wanted some feedback to see if its worth my trouble.

Thanks for any info.

Mine is on a split bench so that does not help you.

But I recall in past posts about it that the parts are pretty darn expensive to buy from a dealer so you might run some searches on prices for it if you have not already done that.

As I recall it was 500 to a grand to buy the stuff but it has been a bit since I recall reading that thread.

Probably not a kit but anything is possible with enough money and a couple junkyards. But if you look behind your seats there should be about 8 feet of flat storage. :)

I have to agree that it may be pricey to add. The salesperson told me that it would be pricey to add if mine did not have it. I think it came up as a $100 option on my window sticker. It does come in handy though. I am planning on adding a non-slip coating and maybe machining sets of holes so that I can put cleats in it to hold stuff in certain spots. Mainly to avoid having stuff slide against the door panels and seats when driving. Good luck.

Has any one else noticed that the 06's fold-flat floor is now made out of plastic with a carpet covering? Just one of the things that did not go with my old 04. 5 when I traded it in.
