Folding Towing Mirrors Repeatedly

Being that our garage entry is standard size, we have to fold our towing mirrors in every time we garage the Ram.



Does anyone have an opinion on possible long term harm this will do to the mirror mechanism (getting sloppy, not working, etc?)

I had to do this at the house I had before this one. It was with my 99 but it never seemed to have an ill effect.



I did this every day for 3. 5 years.

Did you notice when you manually fold them the controls switch so they operate properly (up down right left). I wonder what the mechanism to do that is?

I never thought about that before. Maybe a mercery switch that reprograms the drive signals?
