I got my DD2's installed last week and besides the extra power and smoke , I noticed that the idle is not quite as smooth. I'm guessing this is nomal because of the extra fuel the DD2's are injecting. Just looking for a little reasurance.
I would not say mine runs rough but it is a little different than stock. About the same as with my 275s. Does your stumble or act any different under power. I mean other than all that power and smoke
After installing my DDII's I could barely notice a difference at idle. Slightly differn't sound but by no means rougher. Still idles as smoothly. With the stock injectors my tach would bounce slightly at idle, now my tach stays rock steady while idling.
My idle got slightly rougher after adding DD2s but it had a poor idle quality issue to begin with. Mine also has a light stumble at most engine speeds from idle to 2500+ rpm if I free rev it and it is something I am going to go after when I get some time (too many spring projects going on right now).
Thanks for the replies. I'd have to say that my truck runs like Kiwi Birds'. My tach does have a little bounce to it, but it always has. The truck runs perfect under power, I'm just waiting for the clutch to fully break in.
