Just a heads up on some scary stuff going around:
There is an outbreak of Equine Herpes Virus (EHV-1) going around the Western U. S. It's believed it originated at an NCHA event in Ogden,Utah. Cases have been confirmed in Canada, California, Texas and in between. The disease can be fatal to horses.
It is not harmful or transmittable to people.
Scores of horse events have been canceled. Most horse places are following Colorado State University's lead and not letting horses leave or enter any facilities.
