Do you think they got a ticket for that?? :eek: I guess he couldn't give them a ticket for horn not working. ??

If I did that to a cop, I'd be in the back seat of his car, handcuffed, bleeding from the baton and Rin-tin-tin, on my way to the police station!!

I've got my 24" Grover on my passenger side frame rail facing forward just behind the front cab mount.

I've got to drill out the holes for larger bolts on my 2 gal. tank I'm getting ready to upgrade to for my dual Grovers. Really wish it was a 3 or 4 gal, I think a 5gal would be too big though. As it is right now my air compressor comes on with every blast of my single horn as it almost drains my 1/2 gal tank.

I really want to mount these horns behind my front bumper facing opposite sides, but I don't want 20 feet of hose everywhere and I've got too much going to actually have a day to stop and figure it all out. :{

Maybe one day soon I'll be able to get them on. Oo. :-laf

I just installed a set of train horns from hornblasters a couple days ago. I didn't realize how much room we don't have under these trucks. My 4 horns are mounted above the rearend facing forward and slightly to the ground. What a pain to mount. I bought a brass valve they use on the Amtrack trains. Im working on a mount for inside the cab. If you were to pay someone to install these horns, I bet it would be cost more then the whole horn kit!

I have a set of hadley 1609's on both my truck and my wifes excursion. They are smaller horns but still did not stop my wife from getting talked to by the police for "honking" and some folks.

I go mine behind the front bumper and hers are behind the grill (ford excursion). There is lots of room behind the bumper, you just have to work at it.

If you can, would you mind recording a sound file of those? I originally wanted a 36"+ horn, but couldn't find one for cheap when I was looking... I ended up with a 24" grover, and like the deep tone, but would like it a little lower. I'm just curious how much lower the tone would be.

My 24 is mounted on the front 'crossmember' behind the bumper. Its fairly loud, but my brother has the Grover 14"/16" pair and there's just something about the sound of those things that makes you jump even when you expect it. Oo.
