ford 6.9

Is there any mods for the 6. 9 ford? other than throwing it in the trash my friend has one. trying to talk him into swopping it for a 12valve

Places like Banks and Hypermax have kits to add a turbo and intercooler to the 6. 9, but I don't know if it's really worth it.

My brother in law has one. He says it's a great truck if you don't mind slow.

bump the pump up a tad,bump up the timeing a bit,get shed of the muffler[it will be very lound] if you dont atleast put glass packs back in place. this alone will make a noticable difference,also how old or many miles has the pump got on it,seen many a diesel wake back up with a proper built injector pump,even supposed wore out engines. adding a banks or ats turbo will make it a completely different truck also...

I know daves diesel wouldnt work on his pump. Can you put injectors out of a 7. 3 on it I wonder, or if there is screws you can turn like the first gen cummins?

Without a pyro, I wouldn't touch the pump. Adding more fuel, and possibly not enough air, all it will do is get hot and smoke.



IIRC, there is a screw you can turn to get more fuel, but I'm not sure which one it is. Never messed with mine.
