It's a smart marketing idea that they have going though isn't it? If it fooled some of our members who are wise in the diesel world(I'd like to think a major majority have "common diesel sense") , think what some "back woods" minds are thinking... .
And as small minded as a lot of us are - naming something Power Stroke was very smart. They stole the word Power from Dodge and meanwhile DC refuse's to reintroduce the Power Wagon Nameplate! Amazing - simply amazing!
Dodges marketing strategy:-laf they wont even mention Cummins is it very rare. they dont get it. if dodge stopped putting the cummins in their trucks dodge heavy duty would not sell at all.
Amen, the other two use names like "power-stroke" or "dura-max",Dodge still uses Cummins Turbo Diesel. The Cummins name sells itself. Don't need no stupid nicknames. I guess the brand X'rs need an important sounding name, like when Homer Simpson changed his name to "Max Power" . Do you guys remember what that "Power-Wagon" had for an engine,I think it was yellow . I would like to see them produce it but with a high horse 5. 9 or mabe even a 8. 3 ... Doug
