Ford Escort Code 1443

Does anyone have a clue what this code is (1443) on a Ford Escort. Its a 1997 with a 2. 0l engine. It keeps making the service engine soon light come on. My guess is its a vacuum related issue. It gives this code on the scan tool, but this code isn't listed to give a explanation as to the possible fix.



Any help is appreciatted.

If it's a P code it is the EVAP system,Evaporative emission system malifunction. Cause wiring,hoses,canister,purge valve. Hope this is of help to you.
