Ford F550

Anybody know if they make after market exhaust systems for the F550, like they do for our trucks and the F250s and 350s? A friend of a friend has a F550 tow truck that he wants to modify a little and was looking for an exhaust system but could not find anything listed. I know there is some sort of difference with the frames of the 250 and 350 compared to the 450 and the 550, could this be the reason? Is there something in the way that is not on the lower models? Just wondering if anyone knew why. Thanks. (I feel a little dirty asking F questions on our site, forgive me TDR for I have sinned ).

If no one makes a system, you could always get one bent from a muffler shop... its usually what I do anyway.

www.gosperformance.com has one for the 450. www.dieselperformanceparts.com has one as well.

Both are said to be for the 450 but may work on the 550. The problem relates to the type of bed being used. Some beds leave more room than others. He may have to buy pieces for someplace like Stan's Headers and have a muffler shop piece it together.

Banks has a few exhaust systems available for the 450-550. Works on various wheelbases too.
