I told these guys that the price for getting pulled out was that I get some pics. One of them said, "you must have that thing chipped" Because of the smoke. :-laf :-laf :-laf
Very good. I enjoy getting the old "What chip do you have in that thing, it runs pretty good?!"
My other favorite is "Did you put the cummins in this old dodge?" Me "Uhhh... ..... no..... its factory original" Then they say, "I didn't know dodge put cummins engines in this old of a truck. " Me "Yah, since 1989, dodge has been putting a real diesel in thier trucks!"
I also love the old " Does that thing have a chip? " I think every person I talk to that doesnt know about diesels and some that do ask this question. Or the " You got Banks Power?". I try to explain the fuel plate and P pump as good as I can.
This guy blew his trans at the bottom of an overpass and was blocking traffic tonight on my way home so I got another Photo opp. I pulled him up the ramp and about 3 miles to their yard.
Nice. No, Its a tree. This was the payoff after the fact. I told him I'd do the pull for him if I got to take Pics. His crew were poking around and under "Big Ugly" cuz it "sounds like a big rig". You cant see it in the picture but the 4. 5" Black tractor stack does sound cool. I showed smoke when I left though.
Last week i found a F-250 gasser up to the door sills in mud with no one around. Went over to the store near by and a guy and his son were out cutting wood for there jamborre that weekend. I tell him that I have a tow strap and can get him out without a problem. I am familiar with the hole he is in. I made it I got it deep enough that in 2x4 it will get my truck fits with 35" mudders.
This was a 2 week old Ferd and he hadn't done anything to it yet. I got him hooked up set it in 4 wheel drive since we were on wet leaves and I don't think I hit 20# of boost to get him out. He looked at me and said " your truck made that look easy. " I told him it was the cummins. Rolled up my strap and took a trip through the hole just to show him how it should be done.
