can anyone explaine to me why PSD's that have a straight pipe or a free flowing sounds like they have 2 or 3 injectors pluged!! I guess those two extra cylinders dont do any good!!! hehe. I have heard many sounding this way... . cant believe they think it sounds good #ad
sure glad mine sounds smooth #ad

Don't have an answer for ya' Jim, but I know what your're talkin' about. There is one that passes the house every night. It's almost a chugging sound. Every time I hear it I just think "He coulda' had a I6" #ad

You guys have just forgotten what a V-8 sounds like... especially one without equal-length exhausts between the sides.

I've heard a couple and they are very raspy...

They do sound like crap straight piped. I added a Dynomax Race Magnum 4" muffler to mine. Cleaned up the raspy sound and gave a really nice tone. Sounds pretty mean.

I haven't had the "pleasure" of listening to a straight piped Powerstroke, but I'm surprised that it would sound so bad. A V8 gasser, especially one that's been massaged a little is one of the sweetest sounding engine configurations out there IMO. It is funny how certian configurations just don't sound worth a **** , DC's V10 in the Ram or Viper is a good case in point. I rode in one of the early Vipers & that thing sounded sooo flat/bland/awful, that it almost took the fun out of driving it (I did say almost!) I heard that there were two camps within Chrysler back in the early Viper days, one that favored the V10, the other wanted a modern (ECM/EFI)version of the 426 Hemi. Personally, I believe the V8 sound combined with the Hemi mystique would have been a much more attractive combination, anyone agree/disagree?
I had a DeTomaso Pantersa back in the early '80's & that was the sweetest sounding vehicle I have ever owned. What are some of y'all's votes for the best sounding car or truck of all time?

First Of all How do you post a sound lol?? I have an Idle . wav of my cuda with its solid roller cam and flowmaster exhaust. I used to have one of a 100MPH flyby and a standing start on street tires, you can even hear me let off and slide back straight lol.

What I read on the reason for the V10 was emisions. When the bore reached over 4" the emisions would skyrocket. So the early V10s are pretty **** close to a 360 with two more cylinders. And look at the torque that beast makes!! Almost cummins like in the viper version. They do sound like crap though lol.

My roomate has a PSD with a straight pipe on it, has a decent v8 sound at idle but thats gone as soon as you throttle it at all. Its also very quite.

Quite happy with the sound of my 4" straight piped, BOMBed, Cummins, thank you. #ad

would really love to hear that Mopar.
first you need some bandwidth/webspace to upload the file to, some thing like geocities, angelfire, xoom. . etc... once you've uploaded the file you can use an html tag like this:

EMBED SRC="http://###" HEIGHT="60" WIDTH="135" AUTOSTART="true"

replace the ### with the URL of your file
and put a < before the word EMBED and a > at the end after the last quotation mark

another way would be like this:

BGSOUND SRC="http://###" LOOP=1

again replace the ###s with your file's address and again put the < in front of BGSOUND and a > after the 1

either way you do it im sure it would sound waaaaay better than this. . hope this helps
