New Ford Spotted

Ok where is the new Ram 4500/5500?

I personally haven't seen the association, but maybe in your neck of the woods it's different. :-laf

What makes you say this? Lets hear some stories!

How ironic you mention that! My brother is a die hard ford fan (gassers-1994 f150, 300/5-speed and 2003 f150 ext cab 5. 4/auto) and only drinks coors light!! I am not much of a ford fan, especially not their sorry diesels and cannot stand Coors! I am a beer drinker, but just have never cared for the watered down taste of coors light.

Can't argue with him on the 1994 with the 300. That is the best engine ford has ever had. His has almost 300,000 miles and has never been gone into. The rest of the truck is crap, but the engine still runs great!

By the way, he even drinks his coors light in a friggin can! Yuck! Watered down and aluminum taste all at once!!

Heck yeah, I had a 85 f150 with the original owner was my friends dad, who rebuilt the engine at 300,000 just because he thought it was a good idea and he had the money. I got the truck at 380,000. Beat the heck out of it and sold it 2 yrs later. it fired up EVERY day.

My first truck was an '86 F-150 300-6 with a 4-speed stick and 2. 90 something rear... Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo.

That thing was like a steam locomotive... if you could get the load started... it was gone. :-laf :-laf I never even attempted towing... . but I did haul hay bale loads in the bed for farming.

There are times I wish I still had it for nostalgia's sake... . and the thing is still running around my hometown (where the parents live) today. Its currently sitting because of bad brakes... but powertrain is still good.

Would still take a Cummins anyday though... . having owned one as well. but ya have to get a start somewhere... and I wouldnt go back in time to change my first truck. :D

That makes me one screwed up person then. I like Coors Light over Miller Light, but both of those over Bud Light. Now to the trucks, I love my Dodge, and would drive a GM before I would drive a Ford anyday.

What's up with this?

I don't know how you guys can drink lite beer. I get sick after drinking just a couple. Pins and needles in my stomach and I throw up. Not sure why, since normal beer doesn't bother me at all.

I'm with you on this one. Yuck. What's worse is that people are constantly offering me Bud/Miller/Coors lite. They've got to be the most popular beers in America.

My neighbor drives a '89 (I think) F-150 with the 300 in it. It's well over 250k, and the thing purrs better than my wife's 2002 Civic! What an amazing engine. He drinks Miller Lite almost exclusively, but he's not brand loyal at all.

Instead of motor mounts (which rusted away years ago) he uses a couple large chains wrapped around the engine and frame: you can't feel any vibration in the cab despite this.

It's spray painted in a zerba camoflage pattern. People who come to my house frequently comment about how embarrassing it must be to have that thing parked in the street all the time. I always tell 'em that I really like it because I figure criminals might think twice about committing any crimes on our street if they think there's a redneck gun nut living here. Plus he's a really good guy.
