For all of you readers who have asked the eternal diesel question, "who is better between Ford Powerstroke and Dodge Cummins". I have driven nothing but the Dodge Cummins for the last six years for business use and I have put the trucks through all of the paces. I have never had any significant complaints with the Dodge or the Cummins engine. About two weeks ago I bought a Ford Powerstroke because I wanted more cab room than the Dodge offers... ... . what a dissapointment. I had to spend $560. 00 to put a performance computer chip and a K&N air filter just to get the Ford to perform as well as the almost 100 cubic inch, two cylinder smaller Cummins engine. Besides that the Ford cab is not insulated near as well as the Dodge and in spite of the fact that the engine is quiter, you hear every noise that the road throws at you in the cab of the Ford... ... Ford should take a lesson from Dodge on how to build a quality truck. That is just the beginning of the complaints that I have with the Ford. I can assure you all that I will go back to Dodge as soon as I no longer need the extra space in the back of the cab... ... in short "Ford sucks". I almost forgot to mention that I went from 20 mpg in my Dodge to 11. 7 mpg in my Ford. Think about that!!

<font color=blue>Moving this to "General Diesel" since its not "specific" to the 24v Engine and drivetrain.

Feel free to continue the discussion on the new thread.

Thanks!<font size=-2>
