New mileage announcement for our trucks.....

Nobama Administration Issues New Decree To Increase Fuel Economy

They have to pump themselves up somehow they still haven't figured out how to build a real motor for there truck's

I think this is great as well as the fact they didn't take gov. money. Too bad they don't have a good diesel. I like Ford trucks OK, especially the 1/2 ton. But I was taking a to fellow the other day that had a 6. 0 buy back replaced with a new 6. 7. Didn't even get the new truck off the lot before it was down. I hate to hear that.

Whether we like it or not, Ford is obviously building products that people want to buy. It's too bad they've struggled so long on the diesel pickup side - if the 6. 7L fails, I don't know what their option D (the 6. 0, 6. 4 and 6. 7 being options A-C) will be.

I'm glad Ford just made a big ***** profit. Its good for us Dodge fans to have healthy compitition. By the way this slaming Ford Diesel motors gets old. For a guy who had to have his 2005 Dodge TOWED on Saturday, while my 6. 0 Diesel Ford never had to get towed. I've also spent more on the front end on my Dodge then on all non-maintenance items on my 2005 Ford Excursion. So far from what I hear it looks like the 6. 7 Ford Diesel is performing well. I cann't wait to start hearing more reports of people getting them into higher miles though, like 100k plus.

Don't get me wrong I hope to purchase a 2012 Dodge 3500 next fall. (Even though we are last place in horsepower, torque, payload, towing, and sales). For me its more important to get 200-300,000 trouble free miles. Also I'm not going to spend an extra $ 10k on the Ford for the same thing.
