I have found an '04 HO 6 Speed with everything on it. NEW. List is $45K+.

Should I purchase it or wait until '05 and get a new truck that won't depreciate in a couple weeks when '05's are on order. Is the mileage going up on the '04. 5's?

Are the people with the '04. 5's happy with their purchase. I don't want to give up a good reliable high mileage car for a fuel guzzling truck, but I need the load capacity of the truck.

Thanks,

Blair

Well seeing that one is an 04 model, you should be able to get a good deal on it,I have seen anywere from 500 to 2000 below invoice,2005 models probably wont get a very good deal on when they first come out,Id go with the 04 and be happy:D Oo.

Are you buying it to sell it or to keep it? Discounts and rebates on the 05's are an unknown. IMHO, anything at or below invoice less rebates is a good deal.

GET IT! I cancelled my order on my 04. 5 and bought a 04 with the same options for 5,000 less. The MPG's are what scared me into buying my 04. I love my 04! I'm sooo glad I bought it instead of the 04. 5, but who am I to talk, I haven't owned a 04. 5... .

what is a Tommygun special:confused:

I did a LOT of shopping/ price comparing and couldn't get closer than about $2,000 to Tomeygun's prices in Missouri! Quite a few guys on here have given him a call and he's done his best to get us hooked up for a really good deal! I don't have his # off hand but do a search for him or for Lou Fusz Dodge (that's where he works) Good luck!

I wouldn't think there'd be much difference on the depreciation once you drive it off the lot anyway. I'd get the '04 - no cat!

I ditto the 04 recommendations.

However, sounds to me you need to be talking x amount below invoice instead of $45K. If they won't talk invoice minus, go the the nearest dodge dealer who will and have them "locate" it, i. e. get the truck off the lot where it is at for you.

i haven't priced a new one in about a year and a half... but when

i bought my new 2002(the 03's were about to come out) i got a basic interior,4wd , qc,camper pkg,6 speed h. o. for just over 28k.

also in the color i wanted... saved alot by going w the last years model instead of the brand new one. would do it that way again .
