This is a follow up on my "AWW $#!t" thread.

I found TWO burned fuse links. The one green wire that comes off that rellay on the fender well, and another that joined up with it.

The green wire runs back from the relay to the big bundle, and before it enters with the rest, it is tied in with another wire... it's a cream color, or old white... .

Any idea as to why they blew and what I should do to fix them?

The green one is WAY burned, the cream wire is just scorched... on the green wire the internal wires are fully exposed, whereas on the cream wire there is just a small burn mark on the covering.

Ok, the green wire is comming from the relay, and the cream wire goes up to the area under the fender where that box is next to the battery (PCM?) somewhere. Then it APPEARS that the red wire bundles up with that big group of wires that runs across the top of the firewall to the other side of the engine compartment.

I'm still trying to figure out what circuit this is.

Uh... . You gunna let somebody else post in this thread or just keep it all to yourself? :p

Sorry, couldn't resist. :)

Either the fusable wire or get a regular inline fuse and wire it in. The PCM is the box behind the battery and it can go bad, ground itself and cause mush melting of wires. You don't need to wire into the fusable link bundle with the power end but can just tap off the battery with it then start putting the wires in and see if the fuse blows. That should give you a pretty good idea where the problem is. The PCM's have come down in price pretty well but they will still run $200 give or take some change. Drop me a PM if you need me trace mine back to the correct places. It is tore apart and waiting for external fuse box so colors are pretty easy to trace. Now if I could find my ambition... ... .

Not off hand. I will have to look tonight and see if I can dig up the schematics on the harness. If I had to guess the green wire is the starter relay power, the red wire runs to the ignition switch and fuse box inside, and the cream colored wire is the PCM power wire. Try powering the green and red seperately then together and see if you get switch power, interior power and starter working again.

Upping your post count, I see. :D You should reach a thousand by the weekend at this rate. Pastor, is there some rule against this, or is he just a jumpy b@st@rd the has had a slow class week? ;) :) He's really a good kid, just excitable. Go easy on him this time round.

Hope we get it figured out for ya, Chris:D. Be a shame if I had to take the engine from you because you couldnt get it going again. ;) :p [See, since i have no PCM, it would be easier to get running again. ]

You want my engine?

I fixed it... the beige wire was not burned, only the green one. The big red wire was traced to the big plug in the firewall.

It started and runs just fine, but I'm not done yet.
