I know what you mean. I am in MN so for me the driving part is only a couple hours from thier shop, BUT, who would want to spend 15k on a 8yr old truck? Not me. They do some damn nice work, but for that, i would find a quad cab 3rd gen 1/2ton that has a few miles on it and attept a 3rd gen to 2nd gen frame swap! Heck, you could find a nice 3rd gen for less than 15k and that could even have a loaded interior! On top of that you could part out the drivetraint o recoup some of the costs. Obviously you would have to tackle all the electrical issues among other things with such a swap, but hey, it would be different for damn sure. I have personally thought about it, not only for the sake of being different, but for the fact I think it would be a fun challenge, BUT, my pocket book wont allow it. so, it will remain a dream, for now. I hate to say it, but in a year or 2, I will probably just sell the ol' gal and get a 3rd gen.
