Four Wheel Disc Brakes

I recently purchased a 2001 Dodge QC truck with the Cummins and all that... when we were looking at the dealer, all the trucks at several dealers had rear drum brakes, except for this one truck at one of the dealerships. All the trucks were supposed to be 2001 models. Needless to say we bought the only one out there with 4 wheel disc brakes. Is this an option or something, or are all the new model trucks going to have it in the future?
My truck was built in 7-2000. The price tag wasn't any higer for the disc brakes than the drum brakes.

You are right on the years Bigfig. It is not an optional system... the early 2001's had rear drum brakes and the newer 2001's are now coming with rear disc brakes. All the drum brake trucks you saw,were of course, leftover early trucks.

Just so you know,we are calling the disc brake trucks 2001. 5's,so we know exactly which truck you have.
