Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) FP Gauge question and warranty question.

I have seen something about tapping the fuel lines to install a fuel pressure gauge could possibly void the waranty. My brother has an '02 CTD and we want to put an FP gauge on it. It only has 44000 miles on it. Is this a valid concern? Couldnt find any info with search function. Thanks

Depends on the dealer and there mood when you take the truck in for service. There are almost as many answers to this question as Dodge dealers. Some are mod friendly and some are not. Good luck.

Don't see why they wouldn't welcome a fuel Pressure gauge.

I was commended by my dealer when they saw that I had a Fp gauge. Like stated they are some that are friendly and some not. There is always another dealer down the road a tad, LOL. You can always fight it too and ask in writing why they are refusing service and on what grounds.
