I installed my Westach Fp gauge last night... Finally! I installed it post fuel filter (the innermost test port) and heres my readings. .

Idle 12-13 PSI

Regular driving around 9 - 10 PSI

Jump on it - about 8 PSI (mayby 7)

What do you guys think?

fuel press. numbers

Chris,

Those numbers seem good to go. Mine runs about 14-15 at idle(warm),about 10-11 cruising and no lower than 9 @ WOT.

The Psi looks OK the readings will go up a lb or two as any air in line is displaced or absorbed in to the fuel . Keep a watch on it a you will most likely see it go up a little in about a week. Ron in Louisville KY :D

Maybe for a little while, but it sounds like your lift pump may be on the way out

:( Others may have some more input.

I don't get it. (Surprise surprise. lol)

I have a westach 0-30 FP guage and I have totally different readings

Idle 18psi

Cruising 13-14psi

WOT 10

If I try really hard I can get to 9 with the foot in it. Does this sound right. I have the sender mounted on a grease pump hose that is attached to the bottom of the filter via tapped banjo.

For about three days after I changed my fuel filter I had idle psi at 20! Anyway, if this doesn't sound right could anyone tell me how to double check.

Or maybe I got ONE liftpump that behaves like it is supposed to.

Thanks for the ideas

Mark

Hmmm...

Umm now that I think back, I mounted the sending unit to the inner most test port. Is that pre filter or post filter, and are these numbers still good? Ichanged the fuel filter last week.

Just had my lift pump replaced, before the warrenty replacement I had:

9 psi at idle

0 psi WOT

Now with new pump:

13 psi Idle

7 psi WOT
