FP location?

I have an '03 and will be installing a FP gauge. I bought the filter cap adaptor from Geno's for my fuel pressure source. Perhaps I should buy the banjo bolt for the CP3 instead. I ask because apparently there is a difference in FP values at the different locations. What is the preferred location? Thanks.

I think it's a matter of preference. Technically, however, the CP-3 location might be better, since that gives you what the CP-3 is actually seeing. It would warn of plugged filters as well as failed pump.

I'm not sure if the filter cap gets pre or post filter pressure...
