Got the FP guage in the 97 truck today and got about 65 miles on it with a pretty nice combination of different driving, from 2 lane country higway, to 4 lane interstate, to little bit of city stop and go.

Now for the numbers.

idle: 20 psi

cruising at 65 approx. 2300/2350 rpms = 26 psi

cruising at 70 appros. 2400/2450 rpms = 28 psi

cruising at 75 approx. 2550 rpms = 25 psi

I did lots of different types of launches from dead stop from dang near drag racing to driving like I'm 80 I never got over 29 psi and never dropped below 17 psi. and every time I came to a stop and idled at a light she went right back to 20/21 psi.

Do these numbers sound right?

TIA

Russell

Perfect numbers. You may find that the numbers go higher when it gets really cold and down when really hot, no big deal just the viscosity of the fuel changing.

Moving this to 12 valve before the overvalved guys say your pressure is too high. ;)
