Okay so i got the 92 back on the road, the guy i had fix the major issues to where it was running again said frame was at least bent 5inches, i had never noticed and been under the truck thousands of times since getting it, well i had the hood up on the rolling chassis i picked up from another member here and well that drivers frame from the firewall to the bumper is also offset toward motor, am i crazy to say they are made that way:confused: cause i sure have never paid any attention to it, the truck does not track weird nor run sideways etc. but going off the rolling chassis truck i have it seems to me they are made this way.

If i can tomorrow i will post pictures, it could be mine is bend some but just by eyeballing the trucks they look identical frame contour, the passengers side is straight from rear to front but not the drivers side on neither truck

On my D250, both rails toe inward so that they are about 6" closer together at the front bumper than they are at the cab. I know there are many differences between FWD and TWD frames, but the general contour of the rails should be the same. Look closely again at your passenger side rail. As you line your eyes up with the straight section under the front of the bed and cab, the tail at the bumper should be about 3 or 4 inches toward the engine, just as the left side.

I may be wrong. Maybe FWD frames do have a straight right rail, but I doubt it. Anyone else eyeballing their W truck?

I would think if you did have that much of a bend, there would be some SERIOUS modifications to the front clip mountpoints on the frame to get the front sheetmetal to hang right on the cab.

I will look again tomorrow when i get a chance, i was seriously considering trying to hang on to the D350 as another truck just needing to find another engine and transmission but the more i look at my situation and no funds i could use the D350 as a parts truck, fenders etc. as bad as i don't want to in order to put the W250 back in show room look, im sick of looking at that damage from the accident to fenders etc and the rusty panel LOL... . Will have to contemplate as i have found a W350 which appears to have been sitting for awhile so i don't know what may or may not be wrong with it, i just gotta call the guy and see if he would wanna sell it. Thanks Red Ram for the info

No prob man, good luck. I feel your pain on that decision. Glad to hear you're rolling again!

Even if that guy doesn't want to sell that W350, see if he'll let you peek at the frame. I'm really curious. I think that 350 frames have very little to no arch over the rear axle, but the side-to-side offset you are seeing should be the same?
