Well my brother made a spacer sleeve for the Frantz to fit the new TP rolls, ends up being that it doesn't fit, so I told him I would send a roll of TP and the Frantz housing. Seems my caliper is about 0. 004 off from his for some reason, and I didn't feel like doing a "guess and check"

I put a plug at the oil filter housing, but the end on the oil cap, I can't seem to find my stock oil cap for some reason. Will I have problems with just leaving that line attached to the cap and zip tied out of the way??

Also I pulled the TP out because it needed to be changed. Well the canister is junk I think. I was running the TP that comes with the filter. I got it off ebay and I guess it got damp at some point. I emailed the guy for a replacement, haven't heard from him yet.

I don't know much about Franz other than the fact it's a tp filter. That being said, after comparing Franz to the MotorGuard, which is tp also... I went with MotorGuard just because it's built much thicker and higher quality, IMO...

You should have no problem leaving the cap like that...

I would take what is called a wire cupbrush and clean up all the loose rust. It should shine right up. Then check for any spots where the rust may have made a weak spot, should be able to feel it with your fingers. If it is thick enough you can't dent it by pushing hard with a knuckle I would go ahead and use it. On my 91 I ran my return to the side of my fill tube. RC

I emailed the fellow I bought it from, he's the one guy on eBay that has been selling Frantz filters for a long time... must have bought a whole wharehouse of them.

He said he would ship on out to me. This was about 2 weeks ago.

I'm going to clean it up with a wire brush and run it I guess.
