I am installing a Frantz filter on my '99 and seem to recall someone mentioned they teed into the turbo feed line and had brazed a fitting on to the solid turbo oil return line. Has anyone else done this, and would this present a problem (such as decreased oiling to the turbo, or decreased flow through the bypass filter)because of the increased volume now returning in the return line to the motor? Thanks!

There is a plugged opening at the top of the stock oil filter housing that can be used to supply oil to the Frantz bypass filter.

The oil return is probably most easily run thru a fitting installed into the oil fill cap in the valve cover:

That swivel fitting on the oil fill cap is available from Amsoil dealers for less than $10.

The bypass oil volume diverted to the Frantz is pretty minimal in relation to max flow produced by the oil pump - no known related issues.

Frantz drain

I used the fitting that was came with the Frantz kit. I ground the part of it that was supposed to be screwed into the oil pan and brazed it into a hole that i drilled into the turbo oil drain line. That line is lower than the Frantz filter that I mounted on the right fender swell. I have not had any problems at all with this drain or with the turbo lubrication. I tried to post a ditigal photo of the setup but the file was too big and it wouldn't accept it. I'm sorry that I missed your thread earlier. Good luck---Leroy D P. S. My supply line comes from the plugged opening on the oil filter bracket.
