OK, I know there are a bunch of owners running the Frantz bypass filters...

How many of you have went beyond 3k miles, and will the unit plug off?? I'm thinking if I can make it easy, I may install a Frantz and plan on changing it on the road if needed.

I'm thinking of swapping a Frantz in place of my GCF, because I think I'm switching direction slightly. I'm probably going back to 10k OCIs with a small bypass, or I'm going to buy the HE full flow filters and do away with the bypass altogether.

I'm tired of the 1. 5 gallons of oil the GCF takes... plus, I'm thinking I might go back to regular dino on 10k OCIs instead of running oil for extended periods of time. I looked into the Baldwin B50, but its got a absolute rating of 15 micron... not very impressive.

ok lets start over. first use a lf16035 for the main filter and delo 400 for the oil and change this filter every 10,000 miles series the gcf filter with the frantz with the frantz last now change the oil and the gcf and frantz every 20,000 miles. the frantz clogs up to fast but if you do it this way it act's as a polishing filter, the oil is filtered first by the lf16035 then the gulf coast and then last by the frantz after a long trip just feel the frantz if it is warm it is working if not change it. one of our fleet trucks recently turned 1,000,000 miles on delo and going strong

Nah, I'm stepping down in filters if anything... my GCF is good for 10k by itself, and provides the filtration of the Frantz. I'm trying to move away from the volume of the GCF.
