If someone would give you a new fuel pump for free, which one would you want? Glacier, Fass or Airdog?

I'm trying to decide which one to go with and quite possobly, do I need one to begin with.

I plan to purchase a smarty and maybe stack with my EZ.

thanks in advance,

Jon

I'd want this one. Looks like a nice pump.

I've heard and read the pro and con regarding using an elect. fuel pump that was orig. made to pump gas, to pump diesel. (and does Holley say not to?)

My question is, are there any of you out there that have hands on experience with this working or not working?

I've used Holley pumps with great success on gas vehicles for years, and would like to use one again, but I need more info. about using them on a diesel.

Any feedback on this is appreciated,Ray

I've had a Summit Racing pump (similar to the Holley) on my aux tank for over a year... it seems unaffected by diesel fuel. It still pumps several gallons per minute when needed... and its been fed primarily ULSD, which is supposed to be hard on seals/gaskets.

the walbro pumps were made to pump gas, but many here are now running them with diesel. .

I have been running FASS pumps since they first came out and have never had a failure or a problem. Having said that I needed to upgrade the fuel pump on my 04. 5 and decieded to give the 499 Air Dog a try. Nice total package (brackets, lines, harness, etc. ) but I have reservations on the smaller filters. I will withhold full judgement until I see how long they last but so far I am liking it. Very quiet too.

i wrote a post on the airdog, and someone said that the father makes Airdog and the son makes Fass. I just got my airdog in putting it in tomorrow i will give my thoughts tomorrow. From the looks seems like a good kit. If i read right think they have a limited 6 year warranty, not bad.

I was wondering about the whole fass/airdog deal. The airdog is the "original" fuel preporator. Brad Estkam runs FASS and I forget his father's name. I believe he was a truck driver who figured out a better way to get fuel to an engine. Does the eliminator remove air from fuel? Its neat how it adjusts fuel pressure with boost pressure though. I like the FASS's large filters but it is noisy.

I just got mine too but I can sure hear it. Maybe you just got a quieter on or your truck is louder. Have you relocated your pump yet Parks. You should try out an Intake horn maybe you could track a deal down on one.
