Has anyone heard of this? By rapidly turning the ignition switch to the on position then turning it off three times in succesion you will gain 20% H. P.

After this procedure is complete somewhere on the instument panel the word done will appear. I got this information second hand and tried it on my truck without succsess.

Turning the key on-off-on-off-on (three times on) displays any stored codes in the odo window. 'done' means all the codes have been displayed (none displayed is a good thing). Won't add any HP though.

Think whoever told you to do this was sending you on a snipe hunt. :-laf

No, I am certain this works; and I'll tell you what you did wrong after you bring me a big bucket of steam. ;)

I remember a snipe hunt, I was to hold the bag, I knew what a snipe hunt was, made an extra key to the truck, held the bag, ran like he. . to the truck, jumped in and took off, was drinking a nice cool one when the "beaters" walked 10 miles to camp ;) .

RT-Man whomever told you that one got you good :-laf. No biggie, your turn will come ;). Anyway 99s won't display codes on the "odometer" like 00 and up. We have to get a scan code reader.

Yeah You've been Had . .

However I have heard something that may make me sound a little "gotten" myself . .

There is a certian way to engauge the 4WD to make it lock up diffrent ..... like backing up puts it in posi trac or something ? and one heard this before or something close to it?
