Just got an email from snap on saying they are offering free shipping for all orders UNDER 500 bucks for the rest of the year for anyone that's interested.

That's the truth. I worked with the same Snap-on man back home for quite a few years and sure miss the deals.



Never found a local truck that I liked doing business with, so I just bought from the guy back home and had them shipped direct to me from Snap-on. That worked out pretty good for awhile but getting warranty was a pain.



The industrial account is nice; I log in to the site, find what I want, fill the cart, it automatically calculates the corporate discount, and in about a week a box of shiny new toys shows up at the maintenance shop.



Too bad I can't get the free shipping, too. :{ :-laf

I got the same email, I thought for sure it said all orders under $500 for the rest of the year? Cause I just went through the trouble of tracking down two snap-on trucks, and finally got something I wanted. I could have just ordered it, but didn't wanna pay $10 for shipping.

I've had 3 tools on order from the junk truck for almost 9 months. He says he's been trying to get them for me. AFter getting the "free shipping" email I decided to try the web site - had all three in 4 days.

your driver may be on credit hold , mine was for awhile. did you order and pay w/credit card?

Yes, I used the credit card to order from their web site. After I got the tools I also used the web site to order several replacement "personality keys" for my scanner.



Then I called the snap-on dealer and told him to cancel the order - I got the tools off their website (he wasn't real happy about that - but hey - 9 months - how much more time would he have needed?!?

Does anyone know anyone at Snap-on that we could talk to about setting up a TDR

discount. I am sure there are a number of us who would like to buy Snap on stuff but do not have direct access to a truck or discount. There are power in numbers and cash in numbers also.



Just a thought.

i dream of having a snap-on box full of snap-on tools but my conscience has only allowed me to buy craftsman with an occassional s-k rachet set or snap-on screwdrivers. a tdr discount might help.
