Seems to me that CNSN even bent it more towards Hinkle. Makes him look like the victim and the University is in the wrong. I don't see a whole lot of difference in the FOX report.

Did this happen at Cal Poly SLO or Pomona? I can't really imagine it happening at SLO... ... . I don't remember there being much of a multi-cultural center. Unless you mean the Campus Store where Agriculture and Engineering got intermixed

Competency Tests Fail



California has become at least the fifth state to postpone student competency tests (search) -- following the lead of Alaska, Georgia, New York and Texas. The reason: Only 48 percent of the rising seniors in California would pass.



State school board president Reed Hastings, says a two-year testing moratorium will permit a new, improved curriculum to become, "further penetrated into the school system. "



Rubbed the Wrong Way



A government run jobs center in Berlin enraged a 25-year-old woman who turned to the agency for help after a fruitless, three-month job search. She told reporters, of a state-arranged job: "It really is a bit much if the job center assumes that the best thing is for you to try your luck in a *****house. "



A government spokesman said he had no idea that massage parlors performed anything other than massages.



It's San Luis Obispo!



And finally, we carried an item last week about political correctness run amok at California Polytechnic University, but neglected to mention the school has two campuses. The site of the controversy was Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo.



Irate FOX fans are kindly requested to direct inquiries to that university, not the campus in Pomona.

It certainly did NOT cast a different light on this example of political correctness/liberalism run amo.



Just think about the outrage we would see on every TV had a college official criticized a black person for entering a white conservative area! (yea I know, the idea that there could be such a thing is a bit of a laugh)There would be no hard news for a week while all the TV people rehashed --------what an awful thing!!!!!!!!

The lawyer for the university stated clearly that they werent going after Hinkle for his ploitical views, but that he disrupted a student meeting or some such BS. Yeah, and they go after mob bosses and drug dealers because they really want that tax money, not for extorsion or drug dealing. I agree with merryman- you can have all black, all women, all anything, excpept white male clubs; THAT is racist and discriminatory. What a crock. Hinckle needs to get a better lawyer that will give the officials at the University a better pay off. WHy did this not make national headlines? Oh yeah, white guy gets in trouble for entering a multicultural center (where, as we all know, whites ahould know better than to go), and posting a flyer. Why, if word were to get out, the university would look like the corrupt monster it really is
