Freeze Plug Fixed

Today I had Jason Burton at Northwest Custon

install his soft plug fix. It is 1/4 inch steel

plate with a plug welded to it. If you need

there are a lot of guys that blew out soft plugs with the steel on it so you better keep an eye on it. just a heads up. i just had mine come out a few weeks ago. i put the new superceded part in from cummins. the plug was . 04" bigger then i quick steeled it in and put a 1/2" plate over top and bolted it to the block.

Thanks for the info - my plate just showed up today! I will install it when I install the DD clutch sitting in my garage in the next few weeks or so.

With the larger freeze plug there is really no need for the plate.



If you blew your rear plug you really need to be looking at the front plug..... been there, done that :-laf
