freightliner turbo

a bud and I ran across a fella on the road yesterday who blew both our doors off at about 80 mph. we pulled in behind him at the filling station and asked him what was powering that bad boy, and of course he was pretty stingy about letting loose of his secrets but he did say that he had put a freightliner turbo on his truck. does anyone know how, or the pros and cons or just anything about this whole idea?

He could be talking about an HX40 from a Cummins 8. 3L. Freight-shaker uses those in their business class trucks. We've got a FL60 with a service body at work with a C series motor in it. I've been wondering if the guy that drives it would notice if I switched turbos with my truck.



Of course I really wanted the HX60 from a 550hp Cummins QSX that we put on a machine for a customer in NM. That thing was huge!
