"It's such BS what Ford did with the 525.

GM could do the same. Change the rating to 530. No one will challenge a few ft-lbs. Ford is ridiculously self concious about the numbers game. Dodge stays out of it. They have a special diesel that doesn't need high hp numbers. "

Should they have said "real" diesel?:D Oo. :D

I couldn't agree more about not having to play the numbers game. As I stated in a recent post on towing with your Dodge, the big three manufacturers seem to have very different philosophies on truck design. The Chrysler 2500/3500 is just a no bullsh!t workhorse with no apologies. (Or cushy suspensions that won't carry I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER and socially acceptable quite diesels).

I can only assume this is before we rip off the muffler, add 6" stacks, and "BOMB" the motor for an additional 400hp. Oo. :-laf

Granted! However, I like the looks of 5" stacks better, of course, I've never seen a 6" set-up with my own personal eyeballs, so I can't know for sure.....

But I digress... When I said quieter, I meant that the Diesel Rattle we all love so dearly will be reduced. Common rail injection is supposed to be lots quieter.

However, on a side-note. I was talking with a feller who turns these things up and has a friend in Cummins. . The Friend of a friend said these things should be real easy to BOMB with just a fuel injection psi sensor fooler (sorta like a Map sensor I figure). Cummins did this with a Signature 600 (same type injection) and made about 1000 hp:--) from 600hp stock. Cool. I can't wait until a few places like DD, Piers, Van AAnken, Edge get their hands on the new ones and start fiddlin with them:D .
