front air dam

Has anyone out there removed the front air dam and experienced any problems with their truck?

Mines been off for a month or so, no issues here. I had asked the same question before removing and got no negative feedback.



One comment I did get was the mention that with it off you realize how exposed the bottom of the intercooler and radiator is. One member had made a very nice skid plat to protect it. .

Tom, Do a search. If you tow you will see a difference in temps in hot weather. After the better half broke ours off, I had to replace it in Prescott AZ one summer. It DOES make a difference.

I noticed yesterday the power wagons don't have it.

I trimmed mine off after cracking it in the sand dunes (sport). It has a considerably better approach angle now. No issues towing the trailer yet. And yes I am glad I have a Carli skid on it to prorect the p/S cooler lines.

mine has been gone for a year now and not narry a problem, last summer was fine no high temps without it.

the plow shop took mine off 12 hours after buying the truck. I reinstalled it after two weeks and like the way it looks better. I did trim around the plow mounts though.
