Called the Dodge dealer and asked them how much for Mopar front and rear axel oil, part # 5010320-AA. I need 7 quarts, he quoated me a price of $19. 17 per qt, does that sound right to you guys. Can I get the same oil at Kragens or Napa for alot more cheaper. Thanks:confused:

Amsoil Severe Gear 75W90 Preferred price $9. 85 Qt.

If you live near a warehouse, you can pick it up there and save shipping.

Except factory spec for these is 75W90... I think I will sneak up to 75W110 because it is so dang hot for towing here. . With the 75W90, and 115 degrees oat, I may only see 185 Diff Oil Temp...

Cheers

If you don't have limited slip in the rear that is the correct fluid, and that is the MSRP as well. If you have limited slip in the rear, you need 5102232AA, and MSRP is $27. 92 per quart.

I think Wingate is right about Valvoline and Mopar being the same stuff. Kendall elite is the same stuff too.

The market quantities for differential oil are so small that only a few companies make it, then brand it differently.

You'll also find a huge variance from dealership to dealership. For example the dealership by my house wants nearly $13. 00/quart for ATF+4, while the dealership by my work wants just $8. 00 per quart..... that means one guy is charging well over 60% more than another... . for the exact same product!

What is the acceptable safe rear diff temperature when towing & empty?

Thanks,
