Has anyone had the vent tube from the front axle (Dana) burp up oil? Mine burped 2 oz of oil through the vent line behind the air box while driving in TX at 80moh and 107 Degrees F. Took into he shop to have it checked and they reported that the inside looked clean and crisp. Just did a fluid change and off I went. Any thoughts to what might have happened?

I have a second question that I will post separately but will put it hear as well.

I have a 99 2500 with the travel center dome light. The button for the passenger side decided it was time to south. Anyone have a lead on replacements or how to fix the plunger switch?

Mine burped along time ago too. I relocated it to here. It's hard to see. But look for the green breather. Just used the OE clip.

Mine does the same thing about every other year. Usually when on a trip. I consider it to to one of the anti-rust features of the truck. It has never burped more than an ounce or so.

Dealer checked it out when the truck was a few months old. Couldn't find any problem so they put a new valve on the end of the vent line. Didn't help. I'm thinking they did it just to have something to charge Dodge for.

If it happens again I am going to fabricate a collection bottle so it does not get all over the place. The air vents when collect air from the outside picks up the smell of the gear oil and that is not the most pleasant smell in the cab during hot weather. :(
