I believe my front driver side axle seal is leaking after installing new rotors and I am wondering how I can tell if it is actually the rotor seal, and if anyone knows what is involved in changing them out since they are not exposed like the rear axle. Anyone have any experience changing these?

Does it look like fluid is coming out of the axle tube or the hub? If it is coming out of the axle tube then the seal is leaking. To replace the seal you have to drop the ring carrier out in order to get to the seal to replace it. I just did mine a couple of weeks ago and it takes a good day to do it if you have everything in hand when you start. I wrote up a procedure on what I did if you would like a copy?

Let it go for a while , its normal that after pulling, moving axial ,that they have what looks like a leak ,
Wait I had to read your post over again , the rotors do not have seals , but you are probubly talking about the unit [hub-rotor assembly ] if they still had those by that yr.
Is the leak coming from the axial housing going torwards the dif. or off the back side of the hub ? If its the hub then there may have been an issue with the bearing assembly coming apart and undoing the seal on the bearing , if so you need to get apart , pack a little grease in the bearing and if the seal did not get too tore up you may be able to get seal back in place but its most likly that no matter what it will not last as long as if it hadn't seperated . if you can aford it then get a new hub ,
When thing go wrong they almost always seem to go wrong at the worst possible time.
