Is there any difference in the front axle between a single wheel truck and a dually. I would imagine the dually uses a spacer of some sort. The reason I'm asking is I found a guy with a 91 W250 for sale that's got a dually box and wheels on it, but the regular front wheels.

Also check to see if the correct dually axle is under the truck. It might have a "P. O. S. " adapter between the wheels and hubs. The single tire rear axle is the narrowest axle for our trucks. You will not put a set of duals on one without adapters or a big stack of 5/8's washers to get the inner dual off the springs. When I say big stack I am talking at least 3/4" worth.

Pull a pair of duals off. Do not take his word.
