One problem that setup is made for a 1/2 ton truck the sway bar's on a 1/2 ton arent near as stiff as the bars on a 3/4 ton or 1 ton so it probably would not work. It is a swaybar disconnect if you want this feature on a truck it would be alot more practical just to get some quick disconnects. While that concept is cool it just seems like something else to fail. Lets not forget quick disconnects can be had for about 50. 00 I can't imagine how much that unit costs.

Axle disconnect or sway bar disconnect???

OOPPS!!!!

I guess my fingers went faster than my hands

KYLE - This is off the powerwagon (not half-ton), Do you think it is smaller diameter than the one I already have??

Isnt the power wagon just a pickup with front and rear lockers and that sway bar I am pretty sure in all the shows and articles that it is a 1500 isn't It know the power wagon is not offered in Diesel due to the fact it is only a 1/2 ton truck

Ahhh, but there is no such thing as a SOLID FRONT axle'ed 1500 ram (at least from 02+)

SOOO, if it has a solid front axle, is has to be 2500 or more

BTW, for all you guys out there wanting a fuel tank skid plate for your ram (off a powerwagon) - you better have big wallets, for a perfect bolt in, you will need a NEW FRAME! - yes, the frame part # is different on a pwerwagon

That might mean something when if comes to making this swaybar system fit on our trucks :D

Gotcha so why don't they offer it in a Diesel any reason ????

i was told because the intercooler did not allow the WARN winch to fit

And without the winch, it lost its luster - And if any truck is prone to get stuck, its these 10-ton cummins we drive :-laf (sink like a rock in mud)

BUT I did get some part numbers :

52121238AD - Bar, front sway - "SHG" -- code means Powerwagon - $305

52106813AB - Bar, Front sway - "SHA" - standard trucks - $153

I have no idea what more to get this in, But I can tell a few bushings are the same- BUT you will have to buy new end links, they attach on a vertical plane, not a horizontal plane like what we have now

(LOOKING UP NOW)

well that just killed the idea, link kits are $207 a piece - never mind

5139522AA - Link package sway bar

I have a fuel tank skid plate. Looks just like the PW. Had dealer install it cause' they had to drill two holes for the cross brace. Was only like $100 or so. I don't have the extra lengthwise skid bars under the truck like the PW though.

Pete,

Do you happen to have the part number for the fuel tank skid plate? I was about tom build my own... but I'll end up with more than a $100 worth of my time plus materials. .

thanks,

Mickey

Tomeygun,

Any idea on what the differences are in the suspension/spring rates of the powerwagon vs. our trucks?

Not too sure at this point...

I will check part#'s when I get a PW in
