Confused Automatic Shift Points When Cold

I just replaced the front brakes on my 97 3500 4wd, and I had to turn the passenger rotor. When I pulled the rotor off, the bearing separated, and pulled the bearing apart, ie. the outer race is in the spindle assembly, and the rest of the bearing is in the rotor assembly. Now my local Dodge dealer says I have to get the entire spindle assembly just to replace the bearing. Not sure what to do here, and input would be greatly appreciated.

Had mine pull apart that way during a rotor changeout. I carefully got entire pressed assembly out on the bench, put some high temp grease in (it was pretty dry and clicking a little during use) and pressed it back together. Been OK for 9 months now, including some moderately heavy tows. As discussed before, not recommended, but in extremis, you might try it. Make sure you get it all the way together. Use the other side as a reference. New ones are about $240. Napa is cheaper. Good luck.
