2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Front brake pad question

Recently my 2002 2500 has starded leaving a rusty red colored dust all over the front chrome wheels, After cleaning it only takes a 100 miles or so and the crud is there, This didn't happen the first 15m or so miles, are the brake pads telling me time to change, as far as I know they are the oem pads and upon inspection appear to be in useable thickness. Anyone have this cleaning headache? TL.

I had it on thre rear when I let the pads go too long. The metal dust was on the wheel and mud guard. The rain made it rust.
