Hello again folks,

Thanks to all you good folks Im progressing nicely with my 96 restoration work.

Im getting close to completion (at least for the time being as there is always something that needs attention!), and im putting the front bumper/trim back on.

Here is my question:

Does the black lower trim air dam/valance really have much of an affect on the turbulence/air drag on the fuel economy?

I cant imagine is could offer much due to all the other lower hanging chassis/axle stuff.

Is it more for appearance?

I kinda like the look without it.
Just looking for opinions.

thanks!

It aids in engine cooling. By creating a low pressure area under the engine more air flows through the radiator. If you don't plan to tow much then leave it off if you desire.
