On our trucks it isn't an offset bushing. Our bottom balljoints are a bearing. The adjuster is a made into the bottom cover plate. Moog makes this kit. I can't remember the number. They are not a cheap eather.

If you haven't already replaced the upper plastic bushings I would do that first before buying adjustable lowers, my truck only has 88,000 miles and the last 10,000 it started wearing the tires badly, I just changed the upper bushings and couldn't believe how worn they were, not sure if the previos owner never greased it or that's all the longer they last but it's relatively cheap and easy to do. The 2 bushings and 2 gaskets were less than $60. 00 at the dealer. Unless you have bent your axle it really shouldn't be way out of adjustment.

Replace the spring on top of the upper bushing. The ones I replaced on my truck last year were compressed about 3/8" shorter than the new ones. Case500D's truck was the same as mine when we did his.

If the ideas above don't work you two options. The first is the Moog product listed above which is P/N K962. This is a sliding pin package to allow camber adjustment only. Depending on the amount of rust on the axle installation takes between . 5 and 1. 5 hours. The truck will need to be aligned after installation. The second option is made by Specialty Products, www.specprod.com , and it replaces the upper king pin bushing. It allows adjustment of both camber and caster and take between . 2 and . 6 hours to install(this is for the one degree kit, the 1. 5 degree and higher kits take longer). Have been running with one these in the right front off my 89 to correct a castor spit issue for over 2 years now. It seems to be holding up really well.

I have seen the degree spacer plates that bolt on behind the spindles to change the camber, they were bought at a local auto parts store. I got the entire kit to replace the king pins on both sides (kit had all of the hardware for the tops and bottoms). Hardest part was removing the upper cones from the axle housing, book says they are factory torqued to some outragious spec.

anybody have the part numbers for the stock bushing adn springs the 83 part numbers are no good and the parts guy at the dealer is not much help thanks

George

Did a search on kingpin bushings and came up with these, I got mine from dealer and it was about $60 for bushings and gaskets, the prices for the Spicer stuff look alot cheaper, here's the part numbers I found, also a great site with pictures,
