I have a 95 3/4 ton cummins with a Mag Hytec front dif cover. I keep the fluid level between the add and full mark on the dipstick but am getting a lot of fluid coming out the vent tube when periodically checking it. Vent tube is always wet and surrounding suspension components at the exit are also covered. Any suggestions? Thanks for your time.

First off what type of oil did you put in there? Not that that should make any difference. I have seen on here where that has been talked about so try a search and see what you come up with. You might check Dave Fritz's site to.

There is too much oil in there when it starts coming out the vent tube. I have the stock cover on mine and if I fill it to the plug it will bubble out the vent up on the fender on longer trips. If I keep it about 1/2" or so below the hole it does just fine.

CumminsPower98,

So, I guess I should keep the fluid level at the min mark on the Mag Hytec dipstick then. I just didn't want to risk running the fluid level to low. I am using Royal Purple Max Gear. Thanks for the help.
