It could be the rubber brake lines. Seen them get swollen on the inside and prevent the fluid from returning to the master cylinder.
 
Apply the brakes, release them, then go out and crack the bleeder. If you have pressure coming out of bleeder, look for a blockage in the lines, all the lines back to the master cylinder and the master cylinder for not letting fluid return.
 
change the brake fluid , water in the fluid will boil after some hard braking and cause the brakes to lock up . if that's not it it may be time for a master cylinder.
