Just wondering if anyone else has seen the same thing as I have, and if its something to concern myself with, and get my dealer to address when I bring the pickup in for its first service.
The weatherstripping, in one location, is taking a bit of a hard rubbing while opening and closing the front doors of the pickup. Location I'm talking about is where the sloping part of the door meets the vertical, just in front of where the mirrors are attached to the doors. The weatherstripping is attached to the windshield part of the frame, and when the door is opening or closing, a part of it drags across the rubber with some force. I've noticed some wear already, and this truck is only 2 months old.
I only noticed this problem a couple of weeks after I purchased the truck, and thought I would keep the weatherstripping really slippery by rubbing armour-all on it. Seems to do the trick, but its only a patch-type resolution, I think. Also, when the rubber is flexible (ie: during warmer months), it can prolly withstand the movement, more than when its cold, like during wintery months (ie: like we're already experiencing here now).
I've attached a small picture to give a better idea of what I'm trying to describe.
Thanks for any info people can pass on to me.
