On my 2005 CTD 4x4 there is a sticker under the hood by the radiator which says the double cardian universial joint on the front drive shaft is to be lubed at every oil change. However I can find no fitting on the joint and my owner's manual does not state any lube requirements. Whats the deal?

Hey CIverson, what am I looking at in that picture? I mean, I know it's a U-joint, but on which side? And what's that bright part near the center?

I had covered it in a previous post, that bright thing near the center is a birdseye grease fitting. The fitting is located on the forward side of the ball and socket portion of the dual cardan joint.

Thank you for the information. It looks like I am going to have to drop the skid plate to get at the birdseye fitting, but at least I found it. It took a flashlight and mirror!
