Hello,

I'm replacing my front pinion seal and fighting with the damn front yoke torx bolts. If I EVER get them out, they're not going back in. Would anyone know what size hex head bolts would replace them?

Most hardware stores or automotive supplier will have a flanged cap screw that will work. Just take one along for sizing.

Having just dealt w/ this issue myself a 5" or longer T40 torx bit will make this much easier, so much so you may just forget about the new bolts. I had a hard time finding a T40 that long so I cobbled a 1/4" drive to hold a T40 in a socket w/ an extension, then adapter to allow a 1/2" drive using an impact on the lowest setting u can. They should just come out and back in. Took better than an hour the first time I removed it, using this method few min.
Can't take all the credit Bob4x4 shared the important info so I knew where to start!
Thanks Bob

I too just went through this. I actually went to Dodge and bought, new bolts, Yeah; more money that brains. But in retrospect, if you're carefull you don't need to ruin the originals. Turns out they are installed with loctite. That's why they're such a "B" to remove. But a moment or two with a propane torch will soften the loctite and they come along easily. I've dropped my fron shaft several times and just a little heat is all it takes to get things moviong.

Good Luck.

I found some hex heads and put them in, now all I need are two wrenches to remove the driveshaft. I did manage to get them out with a emergency tool purchase and lots of heat!!!
