My truck is slightly different so this may not work for you.
What I did was to put the transmission in gear and the transfer case into 4-Low. This will prevent the front driveshaft from turning. I then was able to get to one bolt with an open-end wrench. It took a lot of work to get that one out.
Then I selected neutral on the transfer case and rotated the driveshaft about 90 degrees and did the next bolt.
By keeping this up, I was finally able to get them all out.
