Okay, I feel pretty low tech right now. I tried to do a search for the part numbers for replacement of the front end nylon bushings?? I plan to replace the steering shaft and at the same time I wanted to replace these bushings since the kit is inexpensive and easy to install. I know that Old School replied to a post with the part numbers and Boatpuller just finished a search on these, but my search for it failed.

In addition, any special way to search? I picked "any date" to pull the info from but never got much of a search result back.

Front end nylon bushings

Come on guys, gimmie a bone to chew on!!! Doesn't anyone remember that thread or can help me out.

Pleeeaaase!!!:(

OK!!

I'll try to find when I get home tonight. The new search engine doesn't seem to find things as well as the old. (IMO)

Did you try a search using Old School as well as one using bushings?

Ok, found the file in my computer (I saved them) but couldn't find them with a search. Shrimpy was the one that posted PN's for the 2 wheel drive and I have no idea if they are the same for a 4 wheel drive. The parts are Moog

upper control arm bushing - K7104

lower control arm bushing - K7192

Strut rod bushing kit - K7079

AGAIN, I'M NOT SURE IF THE 2 AND 4 WHEEL SETUPS ARE THE SAME AS FAR AS THE BUSHINGS GO.

I'll keep looking

19kgvw,

I've spent over an hour looking and searching -nothing else was found. Probably just not asking for the right thing. I tried!:(

King Pin bushing P.N.'s

The part #'s for the plastic king-pin bushing are:

p. n. 4384127- $10. 50 [need two]

p. n. 3894145- $1. 50 [ two gaskets]

Thank you Paccool and RDBuck!!!! I had a working emergency out of town and just got back. I didn't have any idea of what to replace or how to get there. Thanks for spending your time on that subject. I can now check with the dealer to look at the exploded view of front end components and compare between D and W series. All in the name of getting a tight front end!!!;)

If I can return the favor, I will. Rich

19KGVW,

Check your TDR Issue 33, page 41, left column about the center of the page and TDR Issue 24, pages 66 & 67 gives details how to do the job.
